FGG-136 Sin, What’s Your Excuse

Sin, What's Your ExcuseExcuses, we all make them. Sometimes they are harmless, other times they can be life-changing, shameful, or dishonest. The same holds true for sin. Each of us is born with an understanding of right and wrong. It’s imprinted on our DNA. But, we still sin knowing that it is wrong. We have excuses for every sin!  In this podcast, Tony discusses making excuses for sin.

Scripture: “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into fiery Gehenna.” Matthew -18:8-9

“If we sin deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins” Hebrews 10:26

The just act as guides to their neighbors, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.” Proverbs 12:26

Reflections:  What are your excuses for sin?  Do you find yourself committing the same sin over and over?  what change can you make to help you prevent sin?
